A lot of the Malabrigo silky yarn I like to use consists of a blend that has 51% being silk and the remaining 49% being Merino wool. Using this type of yarn has many advantages and offers pleasant reminders of why I got started knitting; you may find the same applies to you. Because look: Anyone that spends any amount of time truly putting their heart and souls into knitting could not possibly be unhappy with it, especially when you get to use something as pleasurable and soft as Malabrigo silky yarn for your projects. Everyone who gets started with it absolutely loves it and find that it is quite addicting in fact. Getting involved with knitting will mean you will have to commit a fair amount of time to it. But not all projects will take a lot of time. I can knock out a pair of cute comfy socks in just a few hours (of course, I know the pattern by heart already, and I’ve done it so much it’s like second nature to me). But creating a sweater will take longer, even for me, because most of my knitting experience is on smaller garments like socks. Still, any project you take on using Malabrigo silky yarn (which makes for an awesome sock yarn) will be completed in a time frame that’s dependent on your ability and your schedule and the type of project.

Knitting sweaters is something that will take plenty of time and practice, much more than a pair of socks.
